Galvanized or powder-coated: which finish fits your site?
How surface treatment affects durability in cold stores, yards and retail floors.
The surface treatment protects the steel and decides how the product looks after years of use. We offer three finishes on our metal products.
Zinc plating
Done on our own line after welding. A bright, even finish for roll containers and shopping carts used indoors and in cold rooms.
Hot-dip galvanizing
A thicker zinc layer for products that stand outside or in wet areas, such as wire cages in yards and garden carts.
Powder coating
A coloured, smooth finish. Use it to colour-code routes, customers or departments, or to match your brand.
How to choose
- Indoor warehouse or store: zinc plating.
- Outdoor or wet use: galvanizing.
- Colour needed: powder coating, over zinc for extra protection.
